As soon as reasonably possible, preserve information about the incident. That may include photographs or video of the area where the injury occurred, the attraction involved, padding or protective equipment, warning signs, wristbands, tickets, receipts, emails, text messages, and any paperwork you received from the park.
If witnesses saw what happened, preserve their names and contact information. If an incident report was created, make a note of who took the report and ask how you can obtain a copy.
You do not need to determine on your own whether someone was legally at fault before speaking with a lawyer. A serious-injury investigation often begins by gathering the facts and identifying what evidence may still exist.
